Governing Law: Queensland, Australia By ticking the box on the volunteer application form, you ("Volunteer") agree to the following terms and conditions for participation in the SXhibition event ("Event") organised by GC Promotions and Events Pty Ltd ("Organiser"). Please read these terms carefully before proceeding.

Event Location: Exhibition Building, 600 Gregory Terrace, Bowen Hills, Brisbane, Queensland 4006, Australia
Volunteer Orientation Date/Time: Thursday 27 November 2025. Time: 9am - 10am
Event Operating Hours: Friday 28 November - Sunday 30 November 2025

Volunteer Responsibilities
Assigned Duties: The Organiser will assign specific volunteer roles and duties at its sole discretion. Volunteers must carry out their assigned duties professionally and reliably during their scheduled shifts.
Compliance with Laws: The Volunteer must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and venue rules, including workplace health and safety, fire safety, and event protocols.
Conduct: The Volunteer must conduct themselves in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Volunteers must not engage in any behaviour that may disrupt the Event, compromise safety, or offend participants or attendees.
Confidentiality: Volunteers may have access to confidential information about the Event, attendees, or participants. All such information must be kept strictly confidential and not shared with unauthorized persons.
Uniform and Appearance: Volunteers must wear the official volunteer uniform or clothing as specified by the Organiser and maintain a professional appearance throughout their shifts.

Volunteer Benefits
Recognition: Volunteers will receive official recognition for their contribution to the Event, including a certificate of appreciation and volunteer reference letter upon request.
Refreshments: Light refreshments will be provided during volunteer shifts as available.
Event Access: Volunteers may have limited access to Event activities during their break times, subject to availability and at the Organiser's discretion.
No Financial Compensation: This is an unpaid volunteer position. No wages, fees, or financial compensation will be provided.

Volunteer Commitment and Cancellation
Volunteer Commitment: Once accepted, volunteers are expected to fulfill their committed shifts. If unable to attend, volunteers must provide at least 48 hours notice to allow for replacement arrangements.
Volunteer Cancellation: Volunteers may withdraw from their commitment by providing written notice. However, last-minute cancellations may affect future volunteer opportunities.
Organiser Cancellation: The Organiser reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, government restrictions). In such cases, volunteers will be notified as soon as reasonably possible.

Liability and Safety
Safety First: Volunteers must follow all safety instructions and report any hazards or incidents immediately to event supervisors. The Organiser will provide basic safety training as required.
Limitation of Liability: The Organiser will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury (including indirect or consequential loss) suffered by the Volunteer, except to the extent caused by the Organiser's negligence.
Personal Property: Volunteers participate at their own risk and are responsible for the security of their personal belongings.

Intellectual Property and Privacy
Image Rights: The Volunteer grants the Organiser the right to use their name, image, and likeness for promotional purposes related to the Event and future volunteer recruitment.
Social Media: Volunteers may share their volunteer experience on social media but must not share confidential information or inappropriate content related to the Event.

Force Majeure
The Organiser will not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these Terms due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions.

Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.

Entire Agreement
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior negotiations, representations, or agreements. Any amendments to these Terms must be in writing and agreed upon by both parties.

You acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
